Reef Harush was just 20 years old when he fell in combat in Gaza, in April 2024, while serving in the IDF

Commando Brigade in the elite Egoz unit. He grew up in Kibbutz Ramat David, was active in the “Bnei HaMoshavim” youthmovement, volunteered with “Nirim in the Community” working with youth at risk, and with Magen David Adom. Before his military service, Reef chose to challenge himself further, joining the “Five Fingers” youth movement and its demanding pre-military program –

a path that reflected his courage, discipline, and commitment to leading by example. Reef was known for his ability to see those who felt invisible and bring them into the circle. He inspired others through responsibility, kindness, and a deep sense of service.

Although his life was cut short, Reef’s spirit lives on as a call to action: to embrace life, to connect deeply, and to take responsibility for one another.

At the heart of our association is the commitment to continue Reef’s legacy by turning his values into a movement that empowers young people and strengthens Israeli society.

"To Do Reef"

Choosing every day to live by the values that guided Reef’s way of living:
courage, responsibility, kindness, and connection.
It is more than a phrase - it is a way of life, a call to action, and
an invitation to transform Reef’s spirit into daily impact.

Be the best you can be

Act with Responsibility

See & include others

Live Fully

Our Vision

is a society shaped by young people who carry Reef’s spirit forward —living bravely, taking responsibility, and lifting others through every action. We believe that Reef’s way, “To Do Reef,” can become a compassfor an entire generation of leaders.

Reef's Way

Founded in 2025, our organization continues Reef’s way by giving youth a platform to belong, grow, and lead.

Too many young people in Israel face loneliness, disconnection, and a lack of direction.
Through innovative educational programs, hands-on experiences, and new opportunities that were previously out of reach, we equip them with the inspiration, tools and motivation “to Do Reef”.

We operate through partnerships with organizations that have professional experience and a deep understanding of the youth and young adult audience. Together, we develop and implement innovative programs that expand their reach and generate lasting impact.
